University of Florida’s Students in Free Enterprise will be hosting Get a Job Gainesville, a one day career re-entry conference. Get a Job Gainesville will be held on Wednesday, March 23rd from 9:00am – 1:00pm at the Center for Innovation and Economic Development. Topics covered will include updating resumes, re-connecting with networks, starting the job search process, and more. The Expo will be composed of booths from local community resources, workshops on resumes and interview skills, and a panel discussion. This event is free and open to the public.
SEE is back and refreshed! We have revamped the project a bit hopefully making it a bit more appealing to our high school audience! It is much less formal this time around and not as time consuming! Participants will still be receiving community service hours and working in teams of 4 to 5 students! The final presentation date is April 16th and we are hoping to have it at the Oaks Mall! Don’t forget to sign up for Day of Difference! Registration is still open and won’t close until February 5th!
Remember to pick up your kits on either: Monday February 7th or Tuesday February 8th between 10am and 4pm in BRY (Bryan Hall) 232!
Also, you must attend at least one training session! This year training sessions will be on:
- Wednesday, February 9th at 6:30pm in LIT 109
- Thursday, February 10th at 6:30pm in CSE E 121
